| Laetiporus cincinnatus
|The white pore surface and rosette growth formation of Laetiporus
cincinnatus are helpful identifying characteristics. Although this
mushroom seems to grow from the ground, it actually grows from
buried oak tree roots. Found in Porter county; August.
|Fungus of the Month at
Tom Volk's Fungi
|A nice example found in July in mixed
hardwood forest. Monroe county.
