Largest cap here is 2.5cm (an inch) wide. Growing from fallen hardwood, white
oak and American beech.  Pink spore print.  Found late summer and fall. The
fine striations that run down the cap from the center are a defining feature.
The variously shaped cystidia of Pluteus longistriatus. Spores are
subglobose (roundish) and measure  5-7 x 4.5-5 microns.
