These examples of Aureoboletus russellii were found in a mixed hardwood forest with oak and beech being the dominant tree species. Note the red/brown reticulation (netting) on the stem; dry, finely cracked cap; and yellow pore surface in young specimen and yellow/green pore surface in older one. Olive/brown spore print. |
