The tan cap of this ubiquitous mushroom has an oily feel. White spore print; its white gills are attached to the stem. Bulbous rhizomorphs at base of stem, often buried. DIG mushrooms for identification. Can be found throughout the mushroom season. Very similar to the yellow gilled Gymnopus subsulphureus. |
