The beautiful Atheniella leptophylla,  formerly
Mycena leptophylla, can be found growing from
woody humus on the forest floor. Color is a soft
pastel yellow-orange.
Cap rarely larger than one inch, usually much smaller;
conical, becoming bell-shaped with a nipple.
Atheniella leptophylla forms a
curious little tap root.
