Polyporus varius
The species epithet "varius" fits this polypore very well, as it can exhibit
many different cap variations.  The collection shown here represents the
form with a radially streaked cap and reddish brown colors.  Usually
found during summer and fall.  Grows from branches and sticks near
gullies and other areas that remain moist during dry weather.
