The cap of this mushroom is measured in millimeters, with only the
largest reaching the one centimeter mark.  This gregarious fruiting
of
Resupinatus alboniger was found in January.  A related species,
Resupinatus applicatus, appears in common field guides;
Resupinatus alboniger does not appear in any of them.  (The jelly
fungus,
Exidia glandulosa, is also pictured.)
The cap at top has been turned inside-out showing the
widely spaced gills.  White cap margin often present.
