Rhizopogon rubescens
Possibily a variant of Rhizopogon rubescens.  This underground
mushroom breaks through the soil surface as it matures.
This is a mature example (interior olive-brown) of Rhizopogon rubescens
found in November; 4cm long.  Outer skin bruises red.
These pictures are of a young specimen (white interior); 3.5cm long.
Rhizopogon rubescens can be found under pine trees.
